The database now contains many more images of the trade fair events as well as portrait photos and views of the city of Cologne — all of which can be retrieved in a variety of ways with the easy-to-use shopping trolley system.

In the run-up to the fairs, these photographs convey an impression of the preceding event. During the fair they provide insight into the event as it is taking place. The image bleeds have been selected so that the photos can be printed with the Koelnmesse copyright. The images are not otherwise protected. Photo: Koelnmesse Reproduction is free of charge
2. Photos of artworks
These are images of works of art or images with a work of art in the foreground. In many cases, these photos are protected by other copyrights (of the artist, the photographer, etc.). The captions (downloaded along with every image download) provide the relevant information. Altering these images is forbidden (no cropping, cross-fading, colour changes, etc.).
In this regard, we must point out that copyright protected images can only be used free of copyright considerations for 12 weeks before and four weeks after the event, and under the following conditions:
a) With reference to the event
b) With reference to the copyright.
If, for example, the copyright belongs to the Verwertungsgesellschaft Bild-Kunst, the following credit should be made: © (artist’s name) VG BILD-KUNST Bonn, 2009 (for 2009).
